They're Baaaack!

The turkeys have returned to the Pytlinski house!! When we moved into our house in March of last year, we were greeted everyday by turkeys. Sometimes we would have 20-30 in our yard at one time. Then summer arrived and our turkeys disappeared. But now they are back! Carter really likes to watch them and calls to us to come to the window whenever he sees them.

A funny story... One afternoon (it was a weekend) Doug, Carter and I were sitting at the kitchen table eating lunch. I looked out into the backyard and saw the turkeys. I immediately told Carter to look outside. He looked and exclaimed, "TURKEYS!!!" Then, in a moment of realization, looked down at the turkey lunchable he was eating. He pointed to the turkey in his lunchable and then to the turkeys outside. He had put 2 and 2 together!! Luckily for us, he did not have any questions, just accepted it as a fact!
